Once Upon a Time…

I was a mental health therapist working with emotionally disturbed children who suffered from immense trauma. Early in my career, I was promoted to the Director of Clinical Services and found myself working 80+ hours/week and on call 24/7.

Let’s just say, I had no life and my body began screaming at me in the form of insomnia, brain fog, weight gain, irritability, chronic fatigue, and intense pain and swelling in my jaw.

Something had to change.

After seeing multiple doctors, I was eventually diagnosed with Sjogren's Autoimmune Disorder, Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, Adrenal Fatigue…and later a Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma Cancer diagnosis.

Pretty scary stuff, right?

However, it was these health crises that caused-ACTUALLY FORCED-me to make a change!

I eventually quit that job and began my own healing journey, thankfully finding functional medicine and wellness coaching along the way.

I became a Master Certified Wellness Coach through The International Association of Wellness Professionals (IAWP) and later became a consultant for them, training their master coaches and group coaching lab leaders. 

I also host The monthly Coaching Office (for The IAWP) where I help health coaches be the 3 P’s: Productive, Prepared, and Purposeful in their Practice.

In 2017, I excitedly began my own counseling and wellness coaching business, thinking once I hang that “OPEN” sign, I’d have clients basically lined up at the door.

While I did have some success, it always seemed so hard and so overwhelming. 

Here’s more what my business looked like back then:

• ME trying to create, run, and “market” 5 different programs yet never fully funneling out any one of them

• ME being too scared and confused to niche down because I had this “I want to serve everyone” mentality…though really I was really serving no one

• ME making uber long to-do lists of everything I needed to do in my business and then completely overwhelming myself so I’d piddle around or do all the easy, unimportant stuff I felt competent in, but never moved my business forward.

I was exhausted, frustrated, and disappointed in my lackluster results…I was putting in SOOOO MUCH WORK, but barely had ANY clients to show for all my efforts.

It had me questioning myself if I really COULD create the kind of successful coaching business I desired: one where I earned 6 figures, WHILE also working 30ish hours a week (cause back then it was more like $20k PER YEAR while working 50+ Hours per week!!!)

I finally hired my first business coach…GAME-CHANGING!

My business coach helped me get clear on my ONE niche, which I knew was health coaches with all my work for The IAWP and using holistic health to cure my health issues.

Once I was clear on my niche, I became obsessed with learning everything I could about online marketing, business building, and creating offers…and I fell in love!

I was helping my health coaching clients create their coaching business foundation. Seeing their successes and passions reignited was the icing on the cake!

In 2020, I began adding copywriting support to my business coaching signature program and my clients absolutely loved it! 

Many said it was on of the most game-changing aspect to helping them create their marketing materials and make strides in their business. One of my clients even declared that creating her sales page was the hardest thing she’s ever done - worse than writing her Master’s Thesis!

Though I’d created over 500 Loom videos for my clients giving in depth copywriting guidance and feedback, it remained such a challenge and time suck for them to write their own copy.

And I gotta say, learning copywriting is like learning a new language!

My clients were struggling with creating their copy for their website, the promo emails for their program launches, their sales pages, email newsletters…and I knew I could help them on a deeper level, while saving them HOURS of their precious time.

So I became a Clickworthy Certified Copywriter and officially launched my Copywriting Services in 2023.

And Now…

I’m living my dream life…no really, I spend most of the year residing in St. Martin in the Caribbean where in addition to running my business, my hubby Jim and I like to go to the beach, cook (so much amazing fish here), scuba dive, and hang out with our friends (aka our island family). I also sing in a band (very part-time).

I say this not to brag, but to show you what’s possible when you receive expert guidance on your business building and copywriting so you can free up tons of time, nail your messaging, and land consistent leads…no matter where in the world you live or might like to travel.
